Are You Ready?

"I have come to bring fire to the Earth, and I wish it were blazing already. There is a baptism I must still receive, and what constraint I am under until it is completed!" - Luke 12:49-50

I am well familiar with the first sentence of the above passage, but am reading the following sentence with awareness for the first time. I had a chat with Yeshua recently, as I often do, telling him, "Well, you wanted a fire on Earth, and here it is." Of course, it is not the kind of blaze he was wishing for...but...if we do not listen, if we do not learn, the heat increases...and here we are experiencing it in mammoth proportions all over our good Earth. 

What is the baptism you must still receive?

What constraint are you under?

What completion awaits you?

And how do these personal questions translate into the collective?

These are excellent questions to ask ourselves from the depths of our heart. Interestingly, in our last monthly meditation at the Winter/Summer Solstice, I felt called to include a baptismal element. There is something so simple and yet so profound about consciously anointing the body with the sacredness of water. As one participant said, "I feel sanctified." 

Breathing new life into old rites is powerful

The Holy Wells and Rivers and Oceans have blessed us, and continue to bless us in so many ways

Water has always been honored as sacred

As we come into the Chinese Fire Horse Year, a year that will see many things ignited in quick succession, how do we bring in the cooling element of water to temper the pace, to make things digestible, to not be overwhelmed?

This is what we will be doing in our next monthly meditation in February. A potent time of the New Moon, a Solar Eclipse, the Chinese New Year of the Fire Horse, and soon thereafter a new beginning of the astrological calendar in Aries (a fire sign). Gulp! That's a lot. I think we will be sitting under waterfalls to bring balance to our souls and to our world.
