Persistent Power

As I stepped outside into the falling darkness I saw a movement in the trees. A small winged creature flying and then landing - the small rounded body was the unmistakable Ruru.

The Ruru, is the name for the New Zealand native owl. It measures just over 11 inches from head to tail and weighs 6 ounces. Though being small in stature it is powerful in the energy that it brings; the wisdom born of the Ancestors and a cloak of sacred knowledge, delivered through insight, guidance, and persistent power.

Owl gifts vision

Within the longest night

Owls gifts sureness

Within its soaring flight

Owl gifts change

Within the laws of time

Owl gifts today

Within the dream sublime

With the rapid escalations happening in our world the Ruru is a perfect companion and example. We the people may seem small in comparison to those who are fatally steering our world into warring chaos, but no matter how small we are we each can look within for that Insight, Guidance and Persistent Power.

Say a prayer to the Ruru Owl, to your Ancestors. Wrap yourself in their cloak of sacred knowledge and follow where you are led. We each will be led to the place where we are to firmly stand.

We are in a long night.

The gift of change will come 'within the laws of time.'

May you be given the gift of sureness.
