how to be resurrected
walk barefoot at least once a day
move like an animal
whisper to trees
belly to earth stillness crawl like a worm
dream deep among whales
turn your face towards the sun.
think like a sunflower.
surrender like the moon.
periodically erase yourself.
let nature crawl into you.
replace your middle name with hers.
remember: i am the path between earth and sky.

What a beautiful, descriptive way to be resurrected in this life! As human beings, we become very static in our identity of who we are and forget that we too are animals of the forest, living side-by-side with all other creatures here.
The Celts, in their wisdom, thought it the greatest travesty to be born back in the same form over and over. They understood this as such a restrictive life as it limited the wisdom we could learn from living as other creatures. No hierarchy of wisdom in their tradition!
I felt called, some time ago, to offer an Easter Ritual, not one I usually enter into publicly. Given the world as it is, I now understand that call.
To exist is to change, to change is to mature, to mature is to go on creating oneself endlessly - Henri Bergson
We are always resurrecting - changing - into something other. A new perspective, a larger heart of compassion, greater patience. Or less tolerance, narrower vision, or a hardened heart.
How we choose to resurrect is where our world follows. Where our world follows is sometimes shockingly what we wake up to every morning.
To have faith is to receive. To have love is to give. - The Gospel of Philip
By having faith and receiving, by waking and resurrecting into this life, not only do we create ourselves endlessly, but we also create the world around us by having love to give.
During this Resurrection Ritual we will:
~ Feel into the pain and sorrow spreading across our Earth
~ Sit in the great womb of compassion, the tomb of darkness
~ Walk through the world of chaos into the Golden Love of a Resurrected Heart
~ Have faith to receive what is ours to receive
~ Abide in the Resurrected Heart and give
~ Enter into the Sacred Wedding Feast
The presence of Love creates the new world…death recedes - The Gospel of Philip
We will pray, meditate deeply upon the mystery of the Resurrection and what it means to us today, open to faith, love, receiving and giving. And we will dance and Resurrect into these bodies, praying for the world and the world to come.
